TODAY’S UPDATE, 15th March 2020

Using Oil Pastel gave Jennifer the confidence to share her experiments.

She feels comfortable with pencil like instruments in her hand.
Acrylic paint is only used to create the backdrop for her works.
When the urge to create strikes, Oil Paints are becoming an ‘urgent need’.

Jennifer’s current practice often consists of these steps:

1. acrylic paint to block out the proposed image and suggest a palette.
2. oil pastel to provide initial details and palette refining.
3. oil paint to complete the image.

MY DIGITAL WORK

Digital art is a passion. I just love playing with any tool, anywhere, anytime. I have lots more just ask me. See more on Facebook

Discovering Marcel Duchamp emboldened Jennifer  to challenge, more readily, the art worlds preoccupations with ‘what art is’. She experimented with the concepts of Art le’Brut, AbEx and contemporary art, using watercolour, acrylic, soft and oil pastels, oil paint, chalks, pencils and collage.
